Life can be overwhelming, sad, stressful or even frightening at times. Relationship difficulties, bereavements, change – whether unexpected or planned, are all things that can impact us in ways that don’t make sense and don’t feel able to “get over”, or that we tell ourselves we “should” be managing better. Whatever brings you to therapy I will provide an accepting, respectful and reflective space for you to be able to think about your experiences and how to navigate a path forward that feels meaningful to you.
I am an integrative therapist and use Transactional Analysis (TA) as my main therapeutic approach and draw on elements of Psychodynamic, Intersectionality and GSRD approaches in my work. I also work relationally in the sense that I think with you about what it is that brings you to therapy in its relational context, whether this is current or past relationships, including your relationship with yourself.
I offer accepting and confidential therapy and work with individuals and intimate partners experiencing the following:
Individual therapy
- Anxiety
- Bereavement
- Depression
- Low self-worth
- Internalised critical messages
- LGBTQ+ issues and experiences
- Loss in its many forms; job, relationship, routine.
- Understanding shame
- Relationship problems
Intimate partners (couples/relationship therapy)
- Breakdown in communication
- Lack of engagement
- Historical issues
- Exploring and reframing boundaries
- Improved intimacy
- Learn how to have healthy conflict
Qualifications
I hold a PG Dip in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapeutic Counselling and an Advanced Certificate in Relationship Therapy. I have several years of experience working in private practice and the voluntary sector. As a member of the BACP, I abide by their ethical frameworks in my practice.
